Besides the facts that the Bulldogs are one of the youngest teams in the league and the added competition due to the lockout in the AHL, the most satisfying factor in the Bulldogs' decent play thus far is the 2012 draft; especially Galchenyuk.

The Dogs' good start (individually as well as a team) just seems like a bonus now. There won't be any added pressure of Leblanc or Gallagher being saviours of this franchise. They'll more comfortably be able to progress as the mid-level(high mid-level) prospects they are.

Galch will undoubtedly have a more assured roster spot on the 13-14 Habs then any Dogs forward as far as I see it. It also means we won't have to rush anybody either.

Add to this 4 picks in the top 2 rounds in the '13 draft and the fact that the Habs' roster as is isn't bad it all, I think we're in a very very good spot right now.
