Nashville Finishes First in the West

Jonathon Blum led the Preds blue line in scoring with 48 points this season.

It's been a fantastic turnaround for the Nashville Predators. After losing Ryan Suter, they were not expected to make the playoffs, and critics were still skeptic of the team's ability after the Shea Weber trade last offseason. There is no argument, however, that the Predators have now become a powerhouse in the Western Conference. No trades were made during the season at all. The only addition that GM Deku Scrub made to the organization was picking up Tyler Ennis on waivers, who finished the season in the AHL. The Preds finished the 2013-14 season with a record of 49-26-7, good for 105 points and the playoff seed in the West.

The Preds will be facing their biggest division rival, the Detroit Red Wings, in round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
