Divison Winners

AFC, pretty darn weak this year.

West - Denver appears to have the inside track on winning the division. SD is too up and down. They might be able to land a WC spot however. I can see an 9-7 WC team in the AFC. Raiders have 5 losses already with some tough games left on their schedule. Chiefs are fighting for the top pick in the draft.

East - Expect NE to pull away from the other teams based soley on their offense. Defense sucks. Dolphins, playing better than expected with a rookie QB. Still in the mix. Jets, don't think they can pull it together. No faith in the QB situation. Bills, need a QB.

South - Houston is going to take the division. Indy, surprisingly solid this year. Jags, doing what we expected, being bad and a top pick contender. Expected more from the Titans this season.

Central - Baltimore still has the inside track. As long as they split with the Steelers this season, they stand a good chance of holding onto the division title. Flacco needs to step his game up more. Steelers, still in the mix. Bengals in tough. Don't think they are going to make it. Browns, another season of futility for them.

So, 3 of the divisions should be set with Denver, Houston, and New England. Between Baltimore and Pittsburgh for the Central. Leaves 1 WC team left in Indy, SD, Miami. Indy has the tie breaker over Miami now with their victory.

East - New York should take it home. Cowboys and Eagles disappointing this season. Washington, this is a learning year for RG3.

Central - Chicago doing well. Need to hold court against the Packers to split the season series. If they can do that, they should lock up 1st in the central. Detroit, disappointing so far. Minnesota, ok because of AP.

South - Atlanta all the way here. TB, starting to show that they are a playoff team. NO, too deep a hole to start the season. Carolina, need more talent.

West - SF clear favorite out west. Seattle, excellent at home. Struggle on the road with a rookie QB. Arizona, they need a QB. Still haven't developed a good running game to take pressure off their QB. STL, not enough talent, but will re-stock at the draft with their pick and Washington's. Need a play making WR. Need to get a RB either with their 2nd 1st rounder or their 2nd rounder to replace Jackson.

SF, NYG, ATL, CHI, GB seem like the playoff teams in the NFC at the halfway point. Last WC will go to TB at this point. Detroit has a lot of ground to make up. Have the talent, but have to put it together. Don't see Dal/PHI/NO making up the ground here.
