Malkin lead a line of Fedotenko and Talbot and was the playoff MVP. I think he can do a lot with average players. He also lead the league in points with Ryan Malone and Petr Sykora as his mates. What else does this guy have to show to be on that top level?

If he's not traded for anything and everything Shero wants, he's not traded. It's that simple. Your proposal is junk w/o putting names to it. Nobody wants roster players and "better" prospects for top 5 players in the league UNLESS it's a forced situation.
