His point is still accurate though, goaltending is important to all teams to try and single out our team for goaltending is foolish. He could have easily said Calgary wouldn't have made the playoffs without Kipper or TO didn't make it because goaltending, same with Vancouver etc. To say that we were lucky to get in just because of Huet is a lame argument, we ended with 93 points and had a terrific run during the stretch to make the playoffs where the whole team was playing well. Sure we had a bit of a skid the last few games but did well in the PO's even when Koivu got hurt. For the most part the guys played well with the exception of Ribs, Bonk and Bulis.

Unfortunately no one stepped up when Saku went down. The Zed - Plek - Perez line was great the whole series, Kovalev was a one man show with 2 useless twits beside him. I can't count the number of times Ribeiro screwed up perfectly good chances but karma has a way of doing that I guess as he was whining about his linemates(mostly Ryder) not converting his chances at the beginning of the season. Bonk couldn't handle playing on the 1st line but was good on the 4th and while Murray, Sundstrom and Downey played well they are not expected to score.
