Gaudreau's game is pretty different from Gerbe. He's shifty and elusive, difficult to hit. Even if Gaudreau does hit 170 (which may or may not be possible depending on his body type), he's not going to win a lot of board battles.

But if he can come over to the AHL and prove he can put up big points in that league, I don't see why he wouldn't be able to put up decent numbers in the NHL.
Atkinson is a good example. He put up back to back 50 point seasons in college and he looks like a serviceable NHLer. I believe Gaudreau has more talent, therefore I expect more. I dont want him pushed when he doesnt have to be. He needs to put on mass, that is the most important part of his game he needs to develop. All the talent -the size. He can over come his limitations with patience. Most sub 5'9" Nhlers dont really establish themselves till their early/mid 20's.

Dont get me wrong, I love Gaudreau. I'm just willing to wait.
