What's interesting about Ty Rattie's season so far, is not his goals and assists without playing with Baertschi, but his +/- stats. In about one quarter of the season, he has so far:

2012-13 Games 17 Goals 12 Assists 15 Points 27 PIM 15 +/- 17

as compared with the following for 2011-12:
Ga 69 G 57 A 64 TP 121 PIM 54 +/- 23

If we multiply his 2012-13 stats by 4 to project a complete season, he would have:

Ga 68 G 48 A 60 TP 108 PIM 60 +/- 68.

He's a little bit below his pace of last year for goals and assists (perhaps due to his early slump), but, lately, he's been even ahead of that pace. But his +/- is triple what it was with Baertschi. So, his line may well be playing a more effective 2-way game.
