Big weekend for Lakehead. The team took 3 of 4 points from uqtr.a couple thoughts on the weekend.
- uqtr is a skilled but classless team. Chirpy, chippy, and bad losers. They started fights after their loss last night and did not shake hands... Sad too see I hate classless hockey.
-Lakehad is coming around under the new coach. 2 best games they have played in years.
- Lakehead is winning although guys are missing, jay Gilbert and Mitch fillman 2 of our top 4 dmen are hurt and did not play. Mike macdonald who a dinamic freshmen with a big role on this team also didnt dress. Not sure if he is hurt or not. Jeff Bosch is also out hurt so dupuis got both starts and played great in net.
-Lakehead still takes way too many penalties 200 ft from their net. They also pass up lots of decent shots on net. Right now I see this as their two biggest issues. They could easily have 35-45 shots a game if they would shoot the puck. Lots of skill sometimes means too fancy.
This team has the potential to play with any team in the country as long as they tighten up a few things and get healthy over Christmas. Speaking of Christmas.... It's about this time of year we hear of new commitments with guys choosing to come and play in the new year.... Who's available and might choose school?
