During Bettmans last lockout, he insisted that every team put aside a $10 mil lockout operations fund to tide them through up to a full years worth of lockout. Perhaps they didnt feel they needed such a fund this time?
Nice of the Wild though to maintain their workforce, offer generous interest rates to season ticketholders, and be able to afford the top ufa's and cash calls they surely foresaw. They are great market, in hockey country, that isnt in need of all these protections that small markets do i guess. They must have a very eager to compromise owner.
