Getting 3rd line minutes with the likes of Lombardi, Crabb, and Tin Man isn't going to help him earn his way into a top 6 player. At this point in his development, he needs competent players to play with.

Crabb had a totally different role. He's decent defensively, has some grit, and was one of our better PKers. Kadri couldn't have filled the same role.
