I think Housley totally deserves to be inducted. If Sundin is in the HHOF, then Housley should also. Both have been dominant players for their team through all their career (#1 center vs #1 defenseman). Both never made it to the Stanley cup, but enjoyed international success. The main difference between Sundin and Housley, is that Housley played for 9 different teams and is not identified to one particular team. Had he played with the same team for all of his career, then I believe that these accomplishments should make him a lock in the HHOF :

21 years in the NHL
1495 games (16th of all time... all 15 before him are or will be inducted)
1232 points (4th best of all time by a defenseman, best as american defenseman)
97 points in 1992-93!
1 world cup gold medal
1 olympic silver medal
All rookie team
2nd all-star team
A role model on and off the ice.

His defensive play and his lack of Stanley cup are the only arguments against him, but I think his accomplishments should count more.
