I have fortunately reached the point in life where I don't care.
What Loria did is deplorable, but not nearly as deplorable as what Miami Dade officials did in turning over public wealth - money that should be used to pave roads, fight crime & educate children - to a private enterprise with the flimsiest rationale.
Pro sports teams do not create enough jobs or bring enough wealth to an area to justify the special treatment they are given in the "hallowed" halls of government. They are given preferential treatment, not because of any real world value they bring to "The People" but because of the perks & donations offered to those elected officials who are supposed to represent their interests.
It is the ancient tale of the scorpion and the frog played yet again... only this time the scorpion emerges from the riverbank in his corporate jet with revenue sharing money bulging from his greedy little pockets.
