Smith Falls beat Cornwall 5 - 1

The Bears do not play a traditional box formation when they are shorthanded but prefer to be aggressive causing turnovers and leading to scoring opportunities. Smith Falls used this technic extremely well and scored 3 goals (shorthanded) tonight leaving the fan base wondering if we should decline the penalties.

Chris Maniccia scored a hat trick and played like a man possessed. Yannick Crete's speed is incredible and causes trouble for the opposition. Akeson played ok but did not stand out more than that. Patrick Sexton (D) impressed me, he was calm and calculated and played well on PP. Jeffrey Carroll had another strong game. Patrick Martin had another strong game & made some big saves look easy. This kid impresses me. MacClaren, Disipio & McCaughan all played well. Smith Falls rolls 4 lines most of the game and then in the 3rd they shorten their bench to 3 lines, their better players still have fairly fresh legs.

Cornwall's "d" was terrible Johnson(worst game this year), Howes , Belizario, Kirkwood, Suvak & Ouellette gave the puck away time and time again. The offense was not affective, they do not skate thay just stand still. Mitch Zion is OVERATED.The one bright spot IMO was Andrew Ming.
