It isn't like Toronto fans are going to stop going to games in the near future.

They will draw a huge amount of money regardless of if the team has someone like Mackinnon or not.

Hence Mackinnon should go to a team where his presence may well be the difference between being reliant upon revenue sharing or not. Columbus was very good in attendance during their first years in the league and right after making the playoffs. We would be on level with Pittsburgh and would no longer have to worry about receiving revenue sharing.

I also liked the idea of the Flames getting 1st overall or Winnipeg.
