As pointed out by Woodhouse, he's in a similar position as Sundher was last season. I've asked a couple of the prospect gurus on Twitter (Edwards, Luedeke) about Cat's chances and both expressed doubt that he'd even be invited to WJC camp. They felt his lack of track record with Hockey Canada and the strength of the field due to the lockout would work against him.
