i visited an old buddy on Saturday. He said he has 'lost interest in the NHL'. I talked to my dad today. He says he has 'lost interest in the NHL'. I keep hearing the same thing over and over again. apathy. lifelong fans looking elsewhere and finding it.

the real mystery is: how is it possible that the League and PA can be oblivious to this sentiment?

how can they not see that this lockout in not 04 all over again. this one is a game changer. it could very well be a league ender.

Shannon said tonight the if it is not settle by Thursday, the season is done and it could very well be done for 2 seasons.

is the very existence of the NHL to be decided on this week? I don't think so. they still have a month to save the league. but, it is now the league, and not merely the season, that is at stake.
