The City of Edmonton was not a selling point. Just like the City of Ottawa was not a selling point that had them last until the end either.
It's clear Schultz' priority was hockey.
I don't get why nobody wants to admit that some players may actually prefer cold, Canadian cities. The places being tossed out were Edmonton, Vancouver, New York, Toronto, etc...
Edmonton is a small market with an unfavourable climate, but there's a chance certain players might like the opportunity to play in a place that breathes hockey.
