On pure talent alone, Sanguinetti should be picked ahead of our pick. Plus it helps that there is all this talk about the new offensive stylings, the value of the pure PP type players, etc. And that there don't seem to be many other defensemen who stand with the top-15 or so forwards in the draft.

That said, historically there are some more purely talented guys like Wolski, Schremp, who maybe have fallen a bit with the pure skill factor almost used as a strike against them. I would be surprised if Sanguinetti was available at our pick, but anything can happen. I would be doubly surprised if he was available at our pick and we picked him, though, as I don't see him as a Gainey type of player.
