Its hard to see in this screen cap. But the space between his arm and his body. Yea, that would be leading with the elbow. That was moment of impact.
I don't completely neglect anything. Charging it is. He took the strides and he's a fast ****er, but he also took the slide a few feet before the impact. He might have gotten away with a minor for charging had it not resulted in an injury. Maybe not as the on ice call was a hit to the head. We'll never know.

To me it does not look like elbowing, but it's hard to see. They have ruled it as shoulder to shoulder and I guess that's what it was then.
