I keep flip flopping on the idea of the big star. 3 of 4 teams still active have a clear go to player that makes everyone else's role a bit different. Buffalo doesn't. To acquire one, you have to have the cap room, and seize on someone else's misfortune. Plus you need the assets to offer, ie Edm./Pronger. That's why mentally, I haven't totally rejected the idea of Bertuzzi, though deep down, I think it'd be a nightmare.

Do you believe a player of Crosby or Ovechkin's stature would reach rfa status ? Any same GM has to lock them up earlier or recognize that it wasn't going to happen and get value for them.
