I think the Wings list is more like this order:

Zetterberg
Datsyuk
Kronwall
Howard
Smith

Nyquist is perfectly tradeable, especially given the Wings' depth of forward prospects.

Sharp is a much better player than Kane. Kane has only slightly outperformed Sharp offensively over the past three years, and Sharp is a very good defensive forward while Kane is a liability. If you are including Kane but not Sharp based on age, then Hossa must come off of the list; Sharp is closer to Hossa in ability than Kane is to Sharp, and Hossa is even older than Sharp.

Generally when a player says "I will never play for this team again." the only thing you can do is trade him.
