Basically what I'm saying is they're probably making 14 dollars by selling a live stream whereas you could put it out for free, get people watching, and maybe people they'll be more interested in going to watch a game when the teams in town. Put a couple ads on during breaks on the live stream and you'll make more money then you will by making people pay for the stream.
Sorry but I don't think putting out a free stream is going to attract any new fans. Their logic seems to be that if they stream the game for free their own fans will just stay home and watch it on their computer. While paying for a stream would still be cheaper than a ticket most would rather pay a little more to watch it live. And the revenue from ads on the stream would go to the website not the club.
I think they've ditched the live stream anyway because I haven't seen it mentioned on THF for a while.
