If you look for good beer, you can't go wrong with

Restaurantwise, I myself tend to frequent the ethnic joints, especially Nepalese. For some reason there's a big concentration of Nepalese places in Helsinki and they are good value for money. Mount Everest mini chain has been a sure bet so far. For authentic Finnish fare, head to
in southern Helsinki. It's a classic that has served good traditional Finnish food since 1934.
