On the topic of cat barf ...
My cat (well really my wifes) started to barf her food shortly after eating it. This happened maybe once every 2 weeks or so. So what we do now is, we feed her just enough at breakfast, and again at dinner. We keep the cat in the basement for an hour after feeding so it can digest without running around the house, up and down stairs, jumping on couches and beds etc...
This has greatly reduced the barf frequency. Plus, if it does barf, it's in one room, the basement. Now it barfs maybe once every 5-6 weeks. We found a change in diet and the amount really helped. Once the cat got used to feeding time, it eats most of the food at one time, digests in basement all curled up on a blanket for an hour, then we let it up, and no barfing. Try it.
