It's been a whole team problem this season. This is supposed to be a team that counters quickly. When the ball is turned over they move the ball up the field so slowly. When they get into the final third the player with the ball stops and the passes start going sideways and backwards. Like you said Wilshere is the only one that turns and runs at the defense when he receives the ball. The only other time they counter with speed is when the ball is played into space for Walcott to run on to.

With Arteta playing as a holding midfielder passing sideways and backwards is all he does now. He's turned into Lucas or Joe Allen. He's wasted back there.
