2- And he got injured. And he came back and was not good. You know... like an ageing goalie. Right?
3- Since getting to Vancouver, the average NHL save % has been steadily climbing. Up to .914 in 2011-12. Luongo had .919 (on a great team), suggesting he is slightly above average.
above average before. Not anymore, while the Canucks have become a Presidents Trophy winner. Something's wrong here. As demonstrated, good teams have good save %, and not necessarily because of the goalie (Elliott, Halak, Howard and Smith).
Also, luongo321 has admitted (finally someone did, was that so hard?) that Luongo is inconsistent and gives up soft goals.
4- Name a goalie with a great save % who played on a bad team... that's right, you can't. The Canucks do not play run and gun, not even close. they have terrific defensive players, and Lu's .919 sv% is NOT why they gave up less than 200 goals. Mother of God. You HONESTLY think your team is bad defensively and Lu is the reason why they gave up less than 200? Please. Please.
If both are on the same team, Lu will be backing up Schneider. That's what I think. You're saying there is
of this happening?
6- yep. won't be as good as Ward.
1- Yeah, well most of them aren't elite. But none of them started sucking at 35.
2-Yeah, and Ward also might get injured and start sucking, like Ryan Miller this past year. So what?
3- The Canucks are a good team offensively. Not defensively. Goaltending is the only reason our GAA is fairly low. Watch some Canucks games from last year.
4-Yeah, because teams rely on their goalies to help them succeed. Nothing new there. If your goalie's a sieve, you suck. If he's a rock, you win President's Trophies or Cups.
Our only defensman who's very good defensively is Hamhuis(although we did add Garrison in the offseason). And if you think the Canucks system is anywhere near LA's or Nashvilles or NYR's defensively...unless you're saying Luongo is better than Lundqvist, Quick and Rinne. Stats are useless when comparing to a tem that's better defensively, right?

So you assumed Luongo will be backing up Schneider in 2013-2014. And I can guarantee you he won't.
6-Sure he will. Ward's sv% has been higher than Luongo's only once in his career. I'll take my chances.
