To "go for it" you need to prepare at least 2 years in advance not a cpl months!

And you just addressed my primary fear. I think Spott will go for it because he opened his mouth too much before properly evaluating his team. He talked loud and clear about going for it for the 50th. And I happen to know he even made that promise/commitment to a few of his vets.

So to remain true to his word, I think he has painted himself into a corner. And I'm not sure he has the GM skills or assets to get himself out. I think he'll make a couple additions of mid-level guys and hope Gibson and his star nucleus can carry them come playoff time.
