Abbotsford put up another win, they are now 13-2-4 on the year. They have allowed 7 fewer goals than any other team in the AHL.

But it is hard to compare the East to the West since there is no crossover between the conferences this year. So when you are talking about complete domination it needs to be in compared to those you play every night.

So choke on this for a few minutes.

Abbotsford has allowed 31 goals against in 19 games. The next closest team in goals against is Charlotte who have allowed 50 in 19 games. That is a difference of a full goal per game!!

Their penalty kill is sitting at 91.9%, with their opposition only scoring 6 goals against while the Heat are short handed. In response to that the Heat have also scored 3 short handed goals. They are more than 4% higher than the 2nd place western conference team.

Abbotsford has already pitched 5 shutouts. Brust and Taylor are ranked #1 & #3 in both goals against and save percentage.

In addition the Heat have also set 2 AHL records already this year. Brust breaking Bowers 55 year old record for consecutive shutout minutes being the most impressive. Scoring 2 short handed goals in 3 seconds being the most hilarious.

This team has all the makings of a team that is a favorite to challenge for the Calder Cup.
