one thing I learned playing slo-pitch softball, and I think it applies to playing adult hockey as well. At least it has for my 20 years of adult hockey. if you want to always have fun and play with your buddies you have to stay at lower levels. Different people have different priorities and will have different levels of commitment to their own games and preperation to playing. when you get to those upper levels, the fun is in competing, and hopefully winning. so everyone should have a similar level of committment to playing.
