I only play against two girls, but both of them play in the first national league for women. I do not play physical against them, but I do try to block their way if I can, and their sticks are being checked good.
Both seem to appreciate the way I play against them, on my better days I can defend pretty good against the worse one. The better one (she's also on the national team) is a tough nut though, she can stickhandle in a booth, and will beat me about 50-70% of the time.
