Him missing some games in OKC isn't going to do much to hurt his development.

He's going to get back in plenty of time for the playoff push so how in the world is him representing his country at the WJC going to hurt his development? It might not help further his development but it will be a great experience for him, something that he'll never forget while playing some AHL games during the dog days of the regular season will be easily forgettable.
I'd have to disagree with this, as i feel that playing the year with Ebs, Hall, Schultz and even Teemu are VERY important for his development. This whole lost season could be extremely beneficial to us in the long run simply due to these guys getting to play with each other and work on that chemisty.
