Meaning the player is a RFA when signing the 3rd contract (if they signed for the max of 5 years in their 2nd contract)
I get the players complaining of this - it's something the league is restricting... however the reality is it only impacts a very small group of players.
Don't the players get a 3 years contract as rookies first where they can't get a certain amount?
