The third book is pretty much packed with jaw-droppers, which is a big reason why it's widely considered the best in the series.
I told my friend (who's read all 5 books) about the spoiler today and he told me the exact same thing. He said that it sucks that I know about it but that it doesn't really matter in the long run since the book is filled with shocking events. I'm currently in the middle of Book 3's prologue... Hopefully I'll finish it before the season starts.
