The more I think about it, the more Jerry Rice seems like an excellent choice. Rice played 303 Games in the NFL, and was a very good player until his final season. The next highest WR’s in GP are Tim Brown and Irving Fryar, who both played 48 (or 3 FULL seasons) less than Rice. He has out of this world career #’s, that no one currently is even close to. However, with the game changing (to a much more pass oriented offense), someone may eventually pass his #’s (like Gretzky passed Howe after hockey changed).
