On a side note. Andrei Makarov is the best of the 3 camp call ups. He's extremely solid mentally. Something Vasilevsky should develop with age actually. Makarov's only handicap will be that he's playing on small rinks for some time now and would have to adapt back to european rinks. And nobody is talking about Ustinsky, but he is at the very least very close to the top 2 guys.
I'm surprised that he didn't go to the CHL... Well actually no, his team isn't very good. And UFA is a powerhouse...

Maybe after the WJC he leaves...

To the OP... CHL teams make money. To do so they have to win.. And they must attract top talent... So they have to have a good reputation... They develop players just fine. To succeed in North America you have to adapt to our game...

Most players want to succeed here.. And the CHL has helped players succeed.
