The key thing though is the fact that if we are patient with these two guys and place them with the rigth linemates they will surpass (most likely) guys like Zed and Sundstrum. Its not because there are not as usefull in a few games that they can't be more usefull in the course of a season.

We have struggled in the past years because player's development was taken with a lower priority then immediate success. BG changed that when he took over and hopefully it will remain the same this year. Look at what this change of attitude did to a guy like Komisarek. The guy that was the odd man out (one of our Dmen with the most upside) was paired with bottom guys and often played a secondary role. Once he was paired with Markov he picked up his game, and even started to progress with his offensive game (a lot!). That is called player's development and this does not only happens in the AHL, it also has to happens in the NHL. This is what organization like NJ, Colorado and Ottawa are so good at doing and this is what we will hopefully do.

This organization sucked so bad at developiong talents that most of the good guy we draft end up striving elsewhere in the NHL. Its time that it changes. I am very hopefull that if we get a potent second center (or even if we keep Ribs) and we play one of Latendress or Kostistsy with them (Ribs and Kovalev) for a full season that the guy that will play with them will become one of our most dangerous rookie we had in ages...
excellent points
