This would cut back potential injuries out of kickoffs, but you would still have punt returning.
I'm not arguing this, but in reality, how many injuries occur on kickoffs that would legitimately be eliminated?
Even if it will eliminate injuries, I can't stand that this game is getting so soft. Injuries happen. It sucks. But you are playing a game where there is going to be serious physical contact on every single play of the game. You've set up rules so QB's are untouchable. Defenders can't hit hard in the field or they will be fined and suspended and penalized for hits to the head. Now there is talk to get kickoffs out of the game. Maybe next they will make a rule about how fast you can run or how hard you can throw the ball. I am a big Greg Schiano fan, but gimme a break.
