To me the term "tear the league apart" really only entitles 2-3 answers... Crosby, Malkin, and Ovechkin are the only players able to be that clear cut undisputed number one. Ovy has fallen off the pedestal, so really Crosby or Malkin are the only ones capable of making every other player look like a bum.

But, players that I think will be better than what we saw the past season or will enter a category that acknowledges there sheer skill?

Tavares is do for a 90 point season.
Ovechkin will bounce back and Backstrom will be stellar again.
Toews will be well rested and ready to go.
Giroux will be a 85-90 point player again.
Letang healthy will lead a rested and adjusted penguins D
Pietrangelo and Karlsson, well they are just that good.
Quick is unreal but i look for good seasons from price and potentially Ward.

Predicting the opposite?

Datsyuk remains a 60-70 point guy (no more 80+ seasons)
Weber and Suter become less effective without eachother.
The older lads, Selanne, Whitney, Jagr start to slow down and see production drop significantly.
