They do and they don't. I guess they could have merits if he wasn't leaving a program that has had so many black eyes lately.
Going to the Q doesn't really hurt a guy who maybe wasn't getting his due. Either way he was going to get signed by the Jets next year anyway so instead of playing 6 minutes a game he plays a ton of hockey in a league that is very good at creating pro players.
The point is though it doesn't really matter if he stayed or not. He wasn't happy so he left.
