The only way i approve a trade of a Franchise Player/Prospect is if one of the three criteria are met...

1) A team has been struggling 3 seasons in a row. "Struggling" is defined as not making the playoffs 3 years in a row.


2) If that Franchise Player is over the age of 36, and then the player must be dealt for a futures package to a team that is currently a playoff team (ranked 8th or better in conference) or was a playoff team the season before (if the deal is done in the offseason)

or 3) If that Franchise Player is a UFA the following season.

If you guys dont want to start over and maintain the actual identities of NHL teams thats fine, but you will be maintaining the current identity of your team for a long time.
