For all of Detroit's problems, its still the cultural and entertainment hub of Michigan. All roads lead there making it the most convenient place for Metro Detroiters. In addition, there's a great desire locally to see Detroit revived. Projects that help with that perceived revival are highly popular here, both with politicians and fans. Very good business decision.
