NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara Purple Eagles pocketed their highest ranking of the season on Monday, pulling down a No. 16 ranking in the Division I Poll.

This is the team’s best position in the poll since the 2006-07 season when the Purps earned the 16th spot for two consecutive weeks (Jan. 22 & Jan. 29). Niagara has been ranked for the prior three weeks, cracking into the poll at the 20th position on Nov. 19 before holding the 18th spot for the last two weeks.

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. - The sixteenth-ranked Niagara hockey team will finish the 2012 portion of the home schedule with Western New York rival RIT on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Dwyer Arena. The puck is scheduled to drop at 7:05 p.m.

How To Catch The Game - Niagara’s game versus RIT will be broadcasted live on WJJL 1440 AM and, with Paul Hamilton on the call. Wednesday’s game will also be available on TWC Sports Channel Buffalo, with Kevin Sylvester and Andrew Peters combining for the call.
