Being consistent doesn't necessarily mean that a goalie/player has enough talent or the right qualities to truly succeed at a clearly higher level of play. Sami Aittokallio and Joni Ortio were our previous starting goalies at the WJC's, I'm not exactly seeing the same potential in Laurikainen. Korpisalo might be at that level next year, but this year's tournament probably comes too soon for him. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Here's the good probably are wrong

I get to watch Laurikainen a bunch and he is very consistent. Swift Current's record does not reflect Eetu's play. He's very athletic and intelligent, so don't let his numbers (which actually aren't awful) fool you.

He, along with Lowry (who should've been invited to Canada's camp IMO) are the best players on the Broncos.
