Truly difficult for me to underrate Aubin 'cause I see what he does, put up points on the scoreboard, do his things, but I'll never underrate a player that could look like my favorite player of all, Cory Urquhart. I understand that he's not the same, but next step will be how it translates with tougher opposition and we will then know.
So it's always easier to underrated players that were picked in the later rounds so that way you don't expect a lot and then they could turn out of being better than expected.
That's why players like Halak, Korpikari and Paquet fit the bill. I was truly impressed with Korpikari at the development camp and like I told you guys before, he was sometimes better in 1 on 1 and in decision making than Coté, one of our favorite for #6-#7 for the next year. Paquet for a 7th rounder, seems to have a lot of intangibles going for him, and if his biggest problems is to stop taking stupid penalties, well we could have a good one in our hands.....Halak, well we've seen what he can do but I'll always have in mind the guy who's continuously too deep in his net and his saved by his reflexes most of the time. He won't have that luxury in the NHL, so I'm still underrated him, but he surprised the heck out of me with his play in the AHL, he made that transition go pretty smooth if you ask me....
We would've underrated Grabovski as well but now, I think he's more leaning towards the overrated list....
As far as Mikus goes, he's not doing anything statswise, but he was known as a possible sleeper in his draft year, is he still sleeping??? Maybe he's the truly underrated player here.....
