Usually I just get a stacked team right away or have all the best prospects through fantasy draft. This way it will not be the case. Any other suggestions?

Edit: Actually I can probably still get a decent team with 30+ year olds. Maybe only 35+ year olds?
The ground rules that my friend and I use are:

LW = 5 (1 x <20, 1 x 20-24, 1 x 25-29, 1 x 30-34, 1 x 35+)
C = 6 (1 x <20, 1 x 20-24, 1 x 25-29, 2 x 30-34, 1 x 35+)
RW = 5 (1 x <20, 1 x 20-24, 1 x 25-29, 1 x 30-34, 1 x 35+)
LD = 6 (1 x <20, 1 x 20-24, 2 x 25-29, 1 x 30-34, 1 x 35+)
RD = 6 (1 x <20, 1 x 20-24, 2 x 25-29, 1 x 30-34, 1 x 35+)
G = 4 (2 x 18-24, 1 x 25-34, 1 x 35+)

No signing free agents or making trades until December 1 in first season.
