But I could see Feaster looking at Aebischer. He is a decent goalie who's shown that he can steal games. He's still relatively young for a starting goalie, and if Thomas, Gerber, and Huet can step up out of nowhere, it's perfectly reasonable to think that Aebischer could become a real solid goalie.

The other reason why Aebischer might be the best fit is that TB signed a Swedish guy, I think for pretty cheap. If he becomes another Lundqvist, as Feaster is probably hoping, then the last thing TB would want is a Nabokov or Giguere already under a heavy contract, or even Gerber who will no doubt demand a heavy longish-term contract.

Aebischer at least is cheap and RFA, and gives them the greatest flexibility in case Holmqvist proves to be a star. And if he doesn't, Aebischer is probably just fine as a starting goalie in the meantime at a good price.
