No league's ever going to play without a CBA in-season now after all the trouble baseball had with militant PA's. Even hockey had a short-lived strike on the eve of the '92 playoffs. It's amazing it took sports owners that long to figure out playing on expired CBA's gives the PA all the leverage.

And Campoli was going to have trouble getting a contract anyway. We'll see if Hainsey gets blackballed, but it probably depends on how useful he still is. I don't remember how the owners treated players who spoke out during the last CBA.
