The minute he came to NY, however, he was a changed player. You can argue that Boggs was the most valuable hitter in the Yankees lineups from 1993-1996.
I dont care what Ichiro did for his last half season in Seattle. He clearly stepped his game up when he came to New York, and if he struggles offensively, you can always flip flop he and Gardner from the top of the lineup to the bottom.
It wasn't just his last 95 games in a mariner uniform, his obp in 2011 where he played 161 games was 310, and then 95 games in 2012 was 288. Great year in 2010 with one of the worst teams in baseball, 315 average 359 obp. He had a great 70 games with the Yanks, but giving him two years just seems like a stretch to me, hopefully he proves me wrong, and I hope he does.
