IMO, the best Slovak team was on 1999/2000 WJC. Unfortunately, only on paper. The final result was bad. No, it was horribly bad. The relegation to lower group was really close. In the last game, they won after shootouts and that saved Slovakia.

Here is the roster

Defense

Dušan Devečka

René Vydarený (Vancouver Canucks, 1999, 3. round, 69.)

Vladimír Urban

Tomáš Starosta

Marek Kolba

Branislav Mezei (New York Islanders, 1999, 1. round, 10.)

Ladislav Harabin

Kristián Kudroč (New York Islanders, 1999, 1. round, 28.)

Forwards

Marián Gáborík (Minnesota Wild, 2000, 1. round, 3.)

Marcel Hossa (Montreal Canadiens, 2000, 1. round, 16.)

Tomáš Kopecký (Detroit Red Wings, 2000, 2. round, 32.)

Milan Bartovič (Buffalo Sabres, 1999, 2. round, 35.)

Branko Radivojevič (Colorado Avalanche, 1999, 3. round, 93.)

Juraj Kolník (New York Islanders, 1999, 4. round, 101.)

Miroslav Zálešák (San Jose Sharks, 1998, 4. round, 104.)

Roman Kukumberg (Toronto Maple Leafs, 2004, 4. round, 113)

Tomáš Surový (Pittsburgh Penguins, 2001, 4. round, 120.)

Ľubomír Pištek (Philadelphia Flyers, 1998, 8. round, 222.)

Martin Cibák (Tampa Bay Lightning, 1998, 9. round, 252.)

Jozef Mrena

Goalies
