That plays a part. I think we'd be naive to believe any different. All of us have been in that position, whether it's for sports or something else (looking past our current situation to the future).
Down 5-1 halfway through the game and losing 6-3 is getting pounded. When your coach says the effort wasn't there it speaks volumes. You don't have to try and rationalize a horrible weekend. Boughner loves to use the term empty the tanks after this weekend I think it's safe to say they didn't empty their tanks.
